Senneh Kurdi Rugs
Senneh Kurdi kilims are made in Northern Kurdistan, an area that is divided in Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Syria. The Kurdish people have their own name for Kilim which is Berr. Hand-woven nomadic wool on cotton kilims have some strong colors with intricate designs and woven by skillful village women. The kilim weaving techniques are taught from mother to the daughter and this tradition has a long history. Every village has their own design and color combination and you can identify by looking at them where they were made.
