Rugs priced from $1,000 to $1,499 are where standard living room sizes begin to appear in quality hand-knotted construction, including 8' x 10' pieces. At this level you can expect denser weaving and more refined drawing of medallions and borders.
Because many rugs here are made for the main room of the house, check the size against your furniture first. The front legs of your sofa and chairs should rest on the rug. Compare 8' x 10' rugs and 9' x 12' rugs, or read the price guide to see how knot density and materials affect cost.
