This is the second rug I've purchased from Alrug -- and I love it just as much as the first! Alrug not only has beautifully crafted handmade rugs, but they go out of their way to help make the purchase as easy as possible and to provide excellent customer service. When I ordered my second rug, it turned out that someone else had beat me to it. Alrug found me a similar rug and because it was too long for my room, they offered to resize it; something I didn't know could be done. And they still got it out to me in a timely manner so I was enjoying it within a week!

Wow! This Afghan tribal prayer rug is an absolute masterclass in traditional textile artistry. At a robust 60 KPSI, it possesses an authentic, heavy handle that lies beautifully flat and secure. The use of premium Ghazni wool is magnificent; its high-lanolin content gives the pile an elastic texture and a rich luster that captures natural light beautifully. The hand-dyed coloration showcases a gorgeous, subtle abrash that lends incredible depth to the geometric tribal motifs.

But what elevates this piece from excellent to truly sublime, however, is a captivating artisanal signature: within a repeating pattern, the weaver introduced a single, completely unique block of turquoise—a sixth color appearing nowhere else in the composition. Far from a defect, this intentional, charming inconsistency provides a profound 'human footprint' and a nod to traditional weaver humility that makes the textile uniquely ours.

From the tightly wrapped selvedges to the integrated warp fringes, the craftsmanship is structurally flawless.

Finally, a note on the acquisition process: the vendor has been exemplary throughout. Our frequent correspondences revealed an individual who is not only deeply knowledgeable about the heritage of these textiles, but exceptionally courteous and accommodating. This museum-quality heirloom is built to endure decades of daily worship, which it will get, and the buying experience was as stellar as the craftsmanship itself.

Thank you, Aamer, for making this such a memorable experience. Your efforts will be recorded in the larger story which passes with the rug from generation to generation.

This is the second rug that my family has ordered from Alrug. Both of them have been Bokharas, and their quality is much greater than what I had previously bought at rug stores here in the States. They are both beautiful and jewel-like, of the quality of antique rugs that I have searched out in the past.

My wife and I have purchased two rugs from Alrug, both as gifts to our daughter and son-in- law -- tribal Afghan prayer rugs, which will get a lot of use (for generations, we expect). It was a delight to research these purchases, and to find repeatedly that Alrug was the ideal vendor. No one else met all of my expectations for materials and craftsmanship. And more -- four days shipping from Lahore to Houston! When the first one arrived, we knew we'd be buying more, this time for ourselves. I felt the price was reasonable. Any brick and mortar vendor here would need to charge several times the amount we paid. The photos were helpful and completely accurate. The communications were seamless. An entirely satisfying experience. I did the math -- 200,000 knots in just a three by five rug. When I contemplate the labor of the artisans and see their flawless work, I am humbled by my ability to acquire such a product.

Thank you for your excellent service, and speedy shipping. I received the two rugs within a week of the order, and the quality was excellent. After moving to Thailand I looked everywhere for Afghani design rugs, but could only find very expensive rugs or at least expensive prices. Not only did I find the designs I was looking for from your extensive range, but the price was incredibly reasonable. At those prices now everyone can afford to buy a handwoven masterpiece to grace their homes with. Thank you again for making it possible for me to have these beautiful rugs in my home.

I am overwhelmed by the rug I recently purchased from Alrug Australia. The quality of the weave is so detailed, the wool so soft and colours amazing. Delivery from Alrug's Pakistan warehouse to Western Australia where I live only took 5 days with detailed tracking.

The rug was delivered this afternoon and we are very pleased with it! It is much more vibrant than it appeared on the website, and it goes well with our furnishings. We will attempt to take a photo and send it to you sometime in the next week or so. Thank you for all of your kind assistance—we seem to have required a lot of additional help. We hope to buy from you again in the future, and meanwhile, we will recommend Alrug to our friends and family.

This morning our beautiful Kilim arrived. The rug is finely woven and replicates the colors on your website perfectly. Throughout the transaction, your communications have been outstanding, prompt and informative and it was a pleasure to do business with you. Many thanks for a beautiful product.

Thanks so much for your note. The rug arrived a couple of days ago. I'm extremely happy with it, and I'm looking over your Catalog in order to order one or two more of them. Thanks so much for your concern.

Our rug arrived yesterday, Thursday. After it was delivered, I went to a local flooring/carpet store and ordered padding for it which was delivered this morning. Now this beautiful carpet is in the dining area of our great room. We’re very happy with it and although the colors are muted in comparison, it looks well with the very large geometric oriental we have in the living room portion of our great room. We will be ordering again from Alrug.com as we are very happy with our purchase and you have a very large selection of rugs. Thanks so much!

We are very impressed with the total overall beauty of our Kirman Rug which was delivered in only 3 days from your facilities. We wanted to share a photo with you of this outstanding rug in our living room. It was a rewarding experience dealing with Alrug in selecting this very high-quality rug. The workmanship in this hand-knotted piece is excellent. This is a rug to be admired by all who see it and to keep as a family heirloom. We have absolute confidence in Alrug and are looking forward to additional purchases for our home in California.

We're so happy with our beautiful rug from Alrug. The color and quality are amazing. The patchwork style is rare. A similar rug ordered online elsewhere would be so much more money. Excellent service all the way!

It was a joy to do business with this company. First, it was pleasant to find out that they really take care of the details. They promptly e-mailed me as many times as I required information, were extremely kind and my rugs were delivered on time. It is important to point out that the pictures of the website are extremely accurate and my rugs are just as they appeared on the net. Secondly, my rugs are beautiful and that quality is what I was looking for. So, I strongly recommend Alrug as a serious company.

I have purchased 6 exquisite rugs from Alrug company, and my mother bought one as well. Each one I bought is a different style: Jaldar, Kazak, Bokhara, and Oushak. Every single one is a beautiful piece of art, bringing character and style to my home. The colors are as displayed on the website, and the rugs seem meticulously constructed and solid. I looked around, read many reviews, and decided to try with one first. I was very impressed with the carpet, that I proceeded to buy from Alrug all the rugs for my new home. I was not disappointed. Very importantly, the rugs are at accessible prices, making it possible to own beautiful carpets in one's home. Queen's selection is outstanding. What is also noteworthy, is that they will find exactly what you want if you do not immediately find it in their current selection. The choices seem vast. When I saw an item of interest, I presented it to them and requested a particular size or a different color variation - they found exactly what I was looking for. From purchase to delivery, my experience has been that each step was executed professionally, ethically and seamlessly. The rugs arrived in excellent condition, and very promptly. The company and its team have proven very friendly and reliable, and I am grateful for their contribution - making my home beautiful and rendering the experience most pleasant. I strongly recommend Alrug as a reliable and resourceful company to furnish one's home with beautiful rugs - from A to Z.
