A 4'x6' rug measures 4 feet by 6 feet, or 122 by 183 centimeters, and sits between an accent rug and a room-defining piece. It works well in small bedrooms placed at the foot of the bed, in home offices under a desk chair, and in reading corners or sitting areas where a larger rug would overwhelm the arrangement. Two 4'x6' rugs placed on either side of a king bed also work well in narrower bedrooms where an 8'x10' or 9'x12' would leave too little floor visible along the sides.
